Squirrels

Squirrels are the youngest section in The Scouts (UK), for children aged 4-6 years old.

• Focus: Fun, adventure, and learning through play, helping young children develop skills for life.
• Structure: Groups are called Dreys, similar to how Cub Scouts have Packs and Scouts have Troops.
• Activities: Includes outdoor adventures, teamwork, creativity, and early life skills like communication and independence.
• Badges & Awards: Squirrels can earn activity badges, challenge awards, and the Chief Scout’s Acorn Award(equivalent to the Chief Scout’s Bronze Award in Beavers).
• Inclusion & Growth: Helps expand Scouting to younger children, making it accessible to more families.
